During this year’s Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the cultural and tourism market in Gangcheng remained stable and orderly. According to statistics, over the three-day period, the district received more than 48,000 tourists, driving consumption to a total of approximately 2.78 million yuan.
This year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday saw a marked trend toward independent travel. Inspired by the popular TV drama To the Wonder, residents and tourists sought richer emotional experiences and greater spiritual fulfillment through their travels.

The "Unconscious Dawn" Wenyuan Luxury Camping Ground, the Yunye Xingchen Campsite under the Persimmon Trees, and the Shanxiang Huayu Lanshan Agricultural Tourism Integration Demonstration Base were particularly popular. Visitors enjoyed traditional activities like making zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) and crafting sachets with family and friends. Additionally, singers performed at these campsites, creating a leisurely atmosphere as visitors listened to melodious music, ate their handmade zongzi, and enjoyed the cool evening breeze.

Educational trips also became a highlight of the Dragon Boat Festival. The "Rural Revitalization Junior Reporter Tour" organized by the Dazhong Daily provided 19 junior reporters with an opportunity to experience the modern countryside, discover the charm of intangible cultural heritage, and enjoy the pleasures of rural labor.

Cultural activities complemented the festive zongzi aroma, creating a symphony of summer delight. Artists from the Jinan Theater visited Xinzhuang Street and Wenyuan Street in Gangcheng, presenting stunning performances including singing, dance, yangqin solos, and suona solos. These performances offered the audience a feast for the eyes and ears, starting off the Dragon Boat Festival holiday with a cultural extravaganza.

During the Dragon Boat Festival, the Gangcheng Library served as a bridge for traditional cultural experiences and reading promotion. Through a cultural experience market, readers engaged in making zongzi, crafting sachets, playing pitch-pot, reading picture books, and experiencing hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing). These activities allowed readers to immerse themselves in the rich cultural connotations of the Dragon Boat Festival and appreciate the charm of traditional Chinese culture. Over the holiday, the Gangcheng Library, in collaboration with Quancheng Study, held eight online and offline events, serving a total of 7,037 people.
